What is the difference between liquor, spirits, wine, and beer?
Alcoholic beverages can be confusing – there are so many different types and varieties! Liquor, spirits, wine, and beer are all examples of alcoholic beverages, but what's the difference between them? Liquor is a broad term that includes any type of distilled spirit such as vodka, whiskey, or tequila. Spirits are a type of liquor that contain higher levels of alcohol, usually around 40%. Wine is made from fermented grapes and typically has an alcohol content of around 12-14%. Beer is typically brewed from barley and has an alcohol content of around 4-6%. All alcoholic beverages should be enjoyed responsibly.
