Nice Site. Found it by chance. My early Pubbing days were spent around Hanham & Kingswood. Roved all over town during the 60's, I have crawled Stapleton Rd., Gloucester Rd., Whitehall Rd., & also done Filton, The Centre, Broadmead, Market Bars & Old Market & much more. I return every year or so & visit many of my old haunts, still mostly Hanham & Kingswood. I think the 'Long Bar" in Old Market was my old favourite, fabulous "Teds" & tunes on the jukebox. Great Pics! Thanks!

Great site webmaster but what about a place for comments on the pubs if you know them, linked to the picture?

I know a few pubs in Bristol... I live in Switzerland now and its torture... not one decent drop of beer anywhere! or a decent pub to drink it in!

The Volly! as it was before they ruined it! Friday night was best with 'Ace' at the piano and the Tovey fish bloke comming in and selling shellfish.. all washed down with the best Bass in the world!

The Swan with Two Necks..... still a good pint of Bass from the barrel! I always go in when I am in town.

The Good Old Days!

Excellent. To see all these old places I used to frequent as a young foolish lad is very comforting! I live in London now and do miss the Bristol scene.

I remember as a teen kicking-off at the Horn and Trumpet or The Rummer before heading to the ever-so-classy Ritzy nightclub in Baldwin Street!

My favourite pubs in Bristol include the Coronation Tap, The Albion and The Mall pubs in Clifton. I enjoyed a few gigs at the Bridge Inn in Baldwin Street. Is that still there?. I remember watching The Moonflowers there. I remember getting into a bit of a state over the road at The Sceptre and falling off my stall after this over-friendly girl jumped on me. I got roughly ejected by a bouncer! I remember drinking in The Pineapple with Nick Pascalides, Will and Sadie. The marvellous huge Commercial Rooms (Wetherspoon), The Hatchet, Three Sugar Loaves, oh I could go on forever. One day, when I return to Bristol to live, I shall celebrate with an enormous reminiscence-pub-crawl!
